A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME
Dogs are amazing, aren’t they? I’ve always thought so. As a kid, when I wasn’t allowed to have one, I’d walk around with a leash pretending I had a dog!
Looking back, I now understand that my dad’s “No” was a responsible choice having a dog is a big commitment.
Hi, I’m Julia! I’ve been involved in the dog world for over a decade. I started with dog walking, daycare, and taking courses on behaviour, worked at Dogs Trust.
Life took me in different directions, but I always found my way back to dogs.
As a client at Pup School Suffolk, training my own dog introduced me to the IMDT (Institute of Modern Dog Trainers)
In 2023, I made the decision to follow my passion and become a certified dog trainer.
Why does being certified matter? Because while anyone can call themselves a dog trainer, formal qualifications ensure that the methods I use with you and your dog are
science-backed, ethical, and effective. My training approach is fear-free and focused on building a strong bond between you and your dog. I never use aversive tools or techniques that create fear or discomfort. Instead, I am a fully reward-based trainer, committed to helping your dog learn with confidence, trust, and joy.

What we offer
Puppy reception
A fun and engaging class for puppies aged 12–16 weeks, focused on building essential life skills

Carry on classes
Designed for puppies aged 16 weeks to 6 months, this class dives deeper into essential life skills, reinforcing good manners and positive behaviours.

Life skill classes
For dogs aged 6 months and up, this class supports you through the challenges of the "teenage" stage.
A class for dogs who need a bit more space and understanding. Designed to help reactive dogs navigate their world with confidence, we focus on building trust, calm behaviors, and positive associations in a supportive, judgment-free environment.
WHAT PEOPLE SAY
We have a very busy young Cavapoo called Ted.
Julia has been superb at showing us how to calmly and consistently train him to regulate his excitement towards visitors, and tricks and tips for helping him settle.
She is really dedicated and starts by observing your dog warts and all. She is kind and none judgemental, helping you at each step with written handouts and guides to reinforce training after each lesson.
I would thoroughly recommend her for your dogs training needs.

We’ve been doing a 6 weeks life skills course with Julia and been loving it learning different techniques that can be used in every day life, also good for a social with other dogs and people to work along aside.
In the first two weeks I noticed a change in my 10month old pup how calmer she was at home and around other dogs when out on a walk. We will be back for some more classes as myself and pup enjoy the sessions and easy to work with when you are at home due to print outs given and Julia always there if you need her between classes.

I took my dog to be retrained as he missed basic training due to COVID. I needed help with his recall and obedience. My dog has loved the classes and he is now a happier and more balanced dog who recalls well and loves the training. I of course have been trained too and this has made dog walks so much more enjoyable - thank you Julia. The transformation in behaviour is amazing and it's due to engaging in these classes with you as trainer. Thank you so much.
